Crew Of The Week - Event Horizon JustDrew
After writing my first Crew Of The Week article last week, I received some pretty positive feedback. Hopefully this chance to look inside each of the various crews on the game will give you all a better understanding of the crews and for those of you looking for a crew, I can only hope it will help you find the one best suited for you. So sit back, relax, and let’s take a look inside Event Horizon, a crew that brings new meaning to the saying “Family First.”


Statistics:
Bosses: Betty (Owner), EdKill and xATKx (Underbosses)
Maximum Capacity: 100
Current Members: 70-80 depending on the day.
Recruiters: Logikv2
Crew Tax: $100,000
Necessary Rank: Boss, but also willing to look at lower ranked players.
Necessary Wealth: N/A

Establishment:
Event Horizon (EH) dates back to last round. This crew was formed by BettyB and Zoltra88. After The Legion, their former crew was taken out of the game. After a couple of months, Zoltra88 left the game, leaving BettyB as the sole owner of Event Horizon. The crew would quickly grow, hanging around all the way through the end of the round. With the announcement of the reset, the members were given and option as to what the future of EH would be. Most would vote for the return of the crew, as new ways of communication were being established to include and offsite forum. With a new round upon us, the members of EH worked hard to rank together and save cash, in hopes of getting a crew spot. After watching 8 spots get taken, Corrado helped to setup a deal with Browneyes and Sweetie. The goal was to pay for some assistance in getting a crew spot, as the members had the cash, but lacked the rank. With the help of these two current Help Desk Operators, Event Horizon was brought back, as one of the original 10 crew spots of the round.


Recruitment:
One of the nice things about EH is the way recruiting is setup. The majority is done via the members, as trust is an integral part of this crew. If one member can trust you, all of the members can trust you. The vouching member will contact Logikv2 with the name of the person they are vouching for. Logikv2 then sends that player an application. At this point, council members then have a chance to vote on the application. Attention is paid to if the instructions in the application are read and followed. Another small, but very important part of the application is a question about a player’s priorities.


Problematic Members:
The first step to dealing with a member who has done something wrong is the chance to talk with a council member of EH. All members are given a chance to improve their behavior or resolve the issues being presented. If a change is not made or the situation cannot be resolved, they may receive a formal warning, a kick from the crew, or even death, depending on the severity of the infraction.


Uniqueness:
When trying to find something unique about this crew, I had to look no further then one of the three words located on the EH crew profile picture, family. You always hear that crews on this game are a family, but this situation is truly unique. The crew contains members from all over the world, different races, different religions, and even different interests. This is a group that laughs and cries together, a group that is there for each other even when the situation pertains to real life. Of course there are the typical spats and little arguments but the crew always pulls together, respects one another, and finally the members log out at the end of the day after a good visit with family.

As Jombi would say, “We're not unique, we're sheeple. Baa."

Summary:
For those of you who want to be part of a crew where each member is an equal, this may be the place for you. The emphasis is on family first, and this always proves to be the case. I would like to thank Betty, Mad, Alameer and each of the members of Event Horizon for making my stay enjoyable and entertaining to say the least. Stay tuned next week as we bring you another crew!
