Last reset everyone complained about how bad off Bootleggers was and what bad shape it was in. Everyone complained about things such as bugs, exploits, high number of dupers, profile hacks, and inactivity of BSF2000, and how the game was in dire need of a reset. On October 19th of 2006 everyone's prayers were answered and the game's 5th reset began.
This reset has flowed a little differently. There have been little or no reports of exploits or illegitimate money in the game. Dupers have been cracked down on with an iron fist of justice. Few bugs have been sighted (all beta games have a few bugs thats one thing that makes them beta). Profile hacks, while they existed temporarily, were swiftly dealt with and minimal "casualties" occurred. And I don't think we've ever seen so much of BSF2000 who is working hard to keep this game in a nearly perfect state.
So saying all these things you would think problems would be solved and everyone would be completely satisfied.... Wrong-o!!! Now all anyone seems to do is reminisce about how good the olden days were and how having loads of exploited money made the game "fun." Duping bans are considered too harsh now and Moderators who do their jobs and stick closely to the Terms of Service are now considered corrupt.
Why do people complain about a nearly perfect game? I suppose it is human nature to never be completely satisfied. But next time you decide to bash this game, please consider all the positive things that have come this reset. I am sure you will find they will greatly outweigh the negatives. Instead of a topic entitled "Why does BL suck so much now," maybe, just maybe, you'll consider making a topic entitled "What makes BL better this reset."
Thank you and please feel free to give me a shout. I would love to hear/read your opinions.
