NEVER SF's Big Vacation |

Sempre Famiglia will have to wait a little longer before they can make their return to the statistics page. Not so long ago NEVER SF crewholder IrresistibleEyes got shot and the crew was dropped to the successor. After it was taken over some people of The Triad renamed the crew (Forever SF) into NEVER SF probably in an attempt to 'damage' the name Sempre Famiglia had built for themselves. There already was a debate going on about IrresistibleEyes being on vacation whilst holding a crew. As it turns out he named an account that was on vacation successor in a, what one might call, successful attempt to keep the crew on the statistics. A 'new' discussion arose when the successor turned out to be on vacation too.
As most people will know it is allowed for a crewholder to be on vacation. As Air mentioned in his topic called: Rules you should be aware of, which said:
Quote: - If a crew boss is on vacation, it will remain so.
- If a crew boss is permanently banned, the crew will be passed to the successor or next eligible holder. In both cases, if the crew ceases to be a viable crew (no legal holders), it will be dropped.
This part of the rules themselves caused a lot of (emotional) response amongst the Bootleggers community. Now, since the crew seemed to drop to another holder which is on vacation the discussion is continuing. One of the points is mentioned above, simply the rules, which state that what has happened is allowed. On the other hand NEVER SF did use a game feature to pass the crew on to a holder that was on vacation on purpose. Since crews are worth a lot they prevented it to be taken. In this case you can compare a crew to a casino. Casinos cannot be put into Escrow to protect them from being won but a crew is allowed to drop to a member that is on vacation in order to protect it from being dropped. Add the fact that a player who is holding the crew cannot go on vacation and you have something that looks like a contradiction within the rules themselves. However, the rules are made as the staff saw, and still sees, to be fit. The rules haven't been broken. Yet, the discussion continues.
Sadly enough Sempre Famiglia will have to wait even longer till they can make their comeback. One thing is sure though, the death of IrresistibleEyes shows that Sempre Famiglia is planning on coming back and does want to take action and kill in order to do so. Meanwhile, the discussion about crews and on vacation holder continues. The outcome is uncertain as the vast majority of the players seems to support a change of code so that players that are on vacation cannot receive the crew when it is being shot. All we know at this moment is that the staff has set rules and only refer to them when questions are being asked. A change does not seem to be near. So the 'victims' of this rule, Sempre Famiglia, will simply have to wait.
