Shooting range glitch MikaVerLeth
Why do you enter the shooting range? Fairly simple question: to train your gun of course. Normally people will just enter it for the full ten hours so they have their gun at a 100% skill. It's all very simple. When you're about to log off somewhere in the night or when you know you won't log in on Bootleggers again for the remainder of that day you simply enter the shooting range to train your gun. Benefiting from the feature without actually being online. This makes it annoying if there's a small glitch in the feature that might disrupt your schedule.

Imagine you go into the shooting range for ten hours to wake up the next morning and log in to do your daily morning OC it is an unpleasant surprise if you are still in the shooting range for one more hour. While you didn't plan to be there for that hour. This might have happened as there appears to be a glitch in the shooting range. Air immediately created a Sticky on the Game Forum to warn players about this glitch.

In this Sticky he wrote: “You use the Shooting Range at your own risk and will not be refunded any money for doing so,” and: “The glitch itself appears to add an extra hour onto your time without the additional skill being there.” Air also kindly replied to comment on the glitch. “As the Sticky mentions, it's a pretty minor glitch but nevertheless one that is there,” he said. “It simply means that if you go in for (for the sake of this message I'll improvise with times) 6 hours, you will have to spend 7,” he continued. According to the information you do not lose money but are simply stuck for one extra hour.

When the glitch was first discovered there was some slight speculation on getting extra experience. However, this is not true according to Air. “Despite speculation this doesn't mean you will gain an extra 10 percent skill... it just means you will spend an extra hour in the Shooting Range without any additional benefit. So you lose out on an hour,” he explained.

Some players thought the News page would be the ideal place to report this glitch on. “personally i would say that the NEWS page is ideal for this kind of messages,” GPEnergyV7 said. Yet, the staff did not agree.

Administrator Sabin also commented on the matter. Especially about the fact that some players thought the Glitch should have been mentioned on the News page. “This, like all bugs in the game, is under investigation,” he said. Remarking: “When we find to problem, it will be fixed. The Game Forum is a prominent enough place to mention such a thing.”

Some players wondered, and probably still wonder, why the bug hasn't been fixed yet. Not so long ago Sabin made a new Important thread in which he stated that he is working on some of the glitches. So not to worry, the glitch will be fixed. If you want to contribute to the process then do as Air said: “If anybody has any additional information that we are yet aware of regarding this, please report it to the Elite Guard via the Help Desk under "Report Bug / Glitch". We hope to have it fixed in the near future.”
The bugs and glitches will be fixed and with our help we can certainly speed up the process.
