In this segment, you will be given a weekly topic to debate about. You will have the chance to post your opinions, comments, criticism and ideas on the Game Forum. The topic is made at a random time during the week to ensure that many players get to eventually voice their opinion!
Next week, 5-10 (depending on how many we get) random opinions will be placed on the Buzz along with a new debate question!
SUNDAY'S DEBATE!
The wealth status was changed as of early this morning. What are your thoughts on this change and why? What do you want to see done to improve this change?
I think it has two sides. The 'positive' side is that possible money holders/dupes can be spotted more easily and thus killed. On the other hand all players will have to try and keep their wealth hidden as players with too much money are sure to get shot as already happened.
~ MikeVerLeth
It's a decent update, I personally like it but it seems like a ploy in my eyes to get in-game money down as inflation isn't even that bad yet. Also, jealous idiots naming rich players so they can be shot sucks. Maybe it should have been left for a little longer, wait until more players have several hundred million dollars.
~ MoshpitNinja
Well people will never be unanimously pleased at anything but I think it is good. It will make the swiss banks much less obsolete now.
~ LifeGotBanned
I think it's brilliant. The problem is, the wealthier you are, the worse this new feature will be as, shown already today, the wealthiest people in terms of cash, will be killed off.
~ LovinWinter
Its good. It allows us to see the richer people whom are therefore put under more strain - seeing as its a mafia game, the richer people are more likely to be targeted. Lets all bring inflation down by killing a billionaire!
~ SlutKillerV13
Before the reset there was gaps between all of the status'. Back then people said we want more ranks, we want more wealth stats. Now they have them, they cry. I disliked the wealth status' this round because it made everyone look rich when they weren't. I like them, in real mafia gangs people kill others because they are more rich and powerful than others. It's no good when you can't tell who is above who.
~ MissTerriNovel
I personally like this idea, now, players can determine more accurately the wealth of a casino owner...
~ Aeolus
I like them, in real mafia gangs people kill others because they are more rich and powerful than others. It's no good when you can't tell who is above who. In real maffia gangs you didnt have a sticker on your head "multi billionaire"
~ Doedelzak
I don't understand why anyone would actually like this new feature? People with less BL money look even poorer and people who are rich get killed without real reason.
~ ProjeKt
People have been shouting out for new wealth ranks since the beginning of the reset. Now that its finally here, and is a little more ellaborate than they expected, they are hating the very sight of it. No more hiding your holders, at least not for now. It will be a different tale when everyone is a billionaire, but right now...People hate it.
~ CowWow
Personally, I think it's too extensive. Later in the reset, fine...have it this way. But not now. At the moment, there are a select few who have managed to make billions of dolars. Singling them out, putting them on a pedestal if you like, is just encouraging others to kill them. And most probably, these shootings will be done from a dupe account so as to avoid any revenge. And to avoid being singled out like that, there are three options...two of which make you no money.
a) People put their money in a Swiss Bank - loosing them money.
b) People transfer their money to points - keeping their money the same/loosing 10% when they sell the points.
c) People knock up a few dupes, split the money between them and continue banking - making them 3% profit each day as it always has been.
Basically, it encourges point prices to rocket as the demand for them goes up, it means people are too afraid to take the risk of banking money, so the game may go stagnant, it encourages duping and people use them to split their money and people use them to shoot wealthy players. As I said, later in the reset, this update would be fine...even welcomed. But right now, all it does is restrict the speed people can try to advance in the game as too much money on hand = death.

No one wil kill a real life mafia gang boss just because of his wealth, not if they dont gain anything by it like what is happening now on BL. It would make sense to me if you would get your victims money after a kill, IMO it would be a great featue then. Now its only a way to get money out of the game and also a chance for jealous people to get back at the more successful players.
~ Caprice
Honestly.. I like the old wealths. I kinda hoped BSF would change the numbers, but still with the same wealths names. I also like that they made the gaps between the wealths bigger, but the extra wealth names.. nah
~ Suicune
Basically with the wealth status changing it will lead to more jealousy and increased duping. Im not here to rant about the dupe checks but they are flawed. When you change the wealth status to show the wealthier people they need to find some way or counter-acting that. There aren't many honest and fair players left who don't play the game without using some kind of advantage such as multiple accounts. This is just going to encourage the use of dupes and also the people trying to 'name and shame' the billionaires are pathetic. This does counteract inflation but points prices have been pushed up and it makes any person with a CC alot richer. when points prices were 50-55k per point 3 weeks ago if you spent $20 from BSF you'd get 200 points so $10mil-11mil, now with points prices between 100-120k per point you're getting $20mil-$24mil. The cash is being taken out the game but points which are so easily brought into the game have suddenly risen.
~TSdupe101
They should have informed the players before the update, in order to do what's necessary for money holders. At least inform the players, there's nothing wrong with that, I really don't get the way the updates are introduced. They're introduced to please the users, the players. Then why not share the thought before implementing it?...
