Bootleggers Poll v3.0 |
Kayasaurus |
|
This week we continue to scratch the surface of some common Bootleggers issues before we begin our in-depth exploration. Split feelings seem to be the theme of the results of last weeks poll with an overall consensus regarding many topics when it comes to specifics the community seems to have some different ideas of what will really help Bootleggers function in a smooth manner.
This weeks poll:

Now our analysis of last week's poll:
1. As we can see it seems as if there is a dead split in whether BSF2000 should continue to verify points himself or bestow Sabin with said responsibility. These results seem to show that BL majority understands that BSF2000 has a business to run and it isnt realistic to allow upper level staff, Moderators, to verify based on the idea that it isnt needed to extend this responsibility so much. Will we come to a point where it is really needed to have more people than just BSF to verify points? Despite the countless threads asking when BSF will verify points, I know for a fact that overall he logs in every other day or so. So perhaps whats needed is a little patience and understanding.
2. Again we see a 50/50 split in feelings regarding the hit list. Half would like to see the hit list feature continue in its normal fashion and half would like to see some sort of option to reveal your hitlister. As the BL economy progresses and we see hitlist amounts grow one can only imagine if & when we may come to a point where this would be a needed/welcome evolution.
3. Here we can observe that there is a general consensus that RIP are an appropriate welcome tradition in Bootleggers that should remain. We do see a split however as far as when said threads begin to overwhelm the forum during a crew wipe. Perhaps posting crew RIP threads instead of individual ones could become a commonly accepted practice in respect to other players.
4. The BL population overall is varied in response to our next question. We see the most votes going to bans only being used for very serious forum infractions which show us that people do agree with bans being used in this case but not as commonly as currently practiced. Second was the idea that bans should never be used for forum infractions and a mute, though not currently a punishment would be sufficient.
5. Its nice to see that people do over all appreciate the new additions and agree that they have bettered the game. At most votes, there does seem to be a general feeling that there are more essential aspects of the game that need/needed updating before the most recent additions were added. I do hope that all people liberally fill out Help Desk Feature Suggestion tickets to show what they feel are the most essential aspects of the game that need a bit of maintenance. For those seven that believe that the updates havent done anything but cause glitches & bugs, I challenge you to show us proof of this, write an article, make a thread, make a Help Desk ticket.
