Our first victims of The Undercover Crew Review was "The Gambino Family." Since the Boss, MikaVerLeth was completely aware that the Crew Review was going to start this week (due to him being a reader and writer of the Buzz), he made it clear that his crew would be happy to be part of the review, good or bad.
I started by sending random members on their list a set of questions, asking them what they liked or disliked about their crew, the bosses, council and its members. I expected a plethora of answers from all good things, to some bad things, but what I did not expect is what some of the the members of this "FAMILY" served to me.
Names will be kept anonymous as per the rules and purpose of The Undercover Crew Review. Anybody who was interviewed and stated their opinion about the crew in question will never be revieled to anyone in the Buzz staff, the players of the game or the bosses/underbosses/crew council of the crew itself either.
One member stated that he/she has "been in this crew for a long, long time" and fully admits to not seeing eye to eye with one of the members. "I have had a little problem with one of the members, but the council directly took control of this situation and solved the problem." He also states that the crew rules are completely clear and members rarely have a problem obeying them. "The only thing what could be changed is the activity in the crew forum, but lately it is getting better though."
"I obviously like my crew, otherwise I wouldn't be here," stated another interviewed member. He was clear and to the point, letting me know that the crew, "is a good place to be, members are friendly and are there for each other when needed. The name says family and we try to be a family in which everyone participates."
"Stop f*cking bootmailing me you stupid wh*re," was the comment that shocked me the most. One bootmail and the member of this crew labeled it as "spam." He continued to be rude in bootmail until I gave up on him and moved on to another member. I'm sure any member of a crew knows that talking in this manner to anyone, especially someone who is trying to get the dirt on your crew (good and bad), is unacceptable as a big mouth can cause big crew problems (such as a takeover or killing spree). If this member was to be approached by a new player asking how to join their crew, what would their response would of been? This member definitely does not show the "qualities" of a family.
I asked a member how I would go about joining The Gambino Family and I was never responded back to. I am confused as to why this would be as any new player looking for a new crew would need to know this information and getting no response would prove to be difficult to move ahead in our endeavor.
Overall, members seem to be happy with this crew. They see no problems in general with their Bosses or Underbosses or Council. When an inter-crew problem was found, it was nipped by the behind and fixed immediately.
Overall, based on the opinions by several other members (including the ones showcased in this article), the Buzz' Undercover Crew Review gives this crew, The Gambino Family, 4 stars.
