In this segment, you will be given a weekly topic to debate about. You will have the chance to post your opinions, comments, criticism and ideas on the Game Forum, when the proper official topic is made. The topic is made at a random time during the week to ensure that many players get to eventually voice their opinion!
Next week, 5-10 (depending on how many we get) random opinions will be placed on the Buzz along with a new debate question!
THIS WEEK'S DEBATE!
What do you think should be done with the Missions? Would you like to see completely new ones or add ons to the current ones? If you had a chance to make up your own mission that BSF2000 would use for the game, what mission would it be and why?
"They where quite good when you earned something. Now all you get is some exp. (tho not sure) and thats it. Because of that i don't do them anymore."
~ Lilith
"I don't think they are a good feature at all anymore. You need money for the first mission, and if you are a fresh player, it will take a long time to get to 100 for the mission, not to mention the money needed for OC's. The second mission is worth it if you can steal cars. Other than that there 200k+ a piece. But after mission 2 is it no worth it at all for new players and old, all you do it waste time and money. They are defiantly just useless."
~ Alfresco
"Missions might be good for new players to see what the game is all about, but new players won't be able to afford the losses the missions give you, unless people see them as charity cases, so apart form the almost free 4500 bullets you get, the missions are absolute pointless now. Either the pay outs need to be raised dramatically so they're worth it to go through the effort or new ones should be made that are fun to do, which, well, is almost impossible in a text based game. What I'd like to see is a more or less random reward that makes your account special->hold more stocks, extra stocks that actually make money, better car %, crimes that give you a worthwile amount of money, higher banking %, shorter crime/gta/oc timer whatever."
~ SmugWhippersnapper
"Well, we had these missions for a long time now, i say they should be refreshed if not deleted and add knew ones, missions should be part of the game effect on the rank maybe and get harder each time a player pass 1, maybe first 2-3 should be without money and when time a player complete it right get a few bucks so he/she can start."
~ iCrewless
"If anything I would adjust and tweak the missions we already have before adding new ones."
~ VooDooDoll
"I'd quite like to see more missions being created and for them to be given out randomly to each user. Knowing which mission is next and how to complete it merely because others have takes the fun out of doing them. Maybe a short term solution would be to have rewards determined by rank. Have different layers of missions, the higher the rank the harder and more rewarding they would become. Dupers looking for some cheap bullets would have to rank their account quite high before seeing free bullets?"

"I think new missions would be a great idea for the old players who find the current missions boring and the mission payouts should also be changed so everyone is more motivated to do them. I can see the benefits of new players doing the missions and not gaining anything from them (teaches them the basics of the game, I guess). But I heard one player suggest once that it'd be a good idea for the mission payouts to change in accordance to how much money is in the game. Perhaps that idea could be developed further and implemented into the missions?"
~ Seannerty
"Missions are messed up. I still to this day have no idea why BSF tinkered with them. There's no reason financially to bother investing your time into it and one of the coolest features of the game has been totally wasted and turned into nothing really. Better mission rewards, more missions. Make the game fun!"

"I remember the time when missions were added and the new ones added. Everyone was so excited. I think new missions would help. As for the rewards - damn right mission bullets should have been removed. But maybe a few more to make it worthwhile killing DionOBanion and TonyT at the end... There should also be a bigger monetary reward, maybe a few cars or some points. But then, BSF is unlikely to do points as the only way they enter the game is via his bank account. Different types of rewards - like the Booze, Cars, Money, Bullets, Credits for casino gambling possibly; that sort of thing. Little things like for the booze mission, one instant travel from NY to California or back, and the same for the Duesy mission and Penny --> Loui. Getting 3 duesys back after the mission that can be used in OCs for a high yield, that sort of thing. And making the little things like that non-tradeable so they can't be cashed in and sold. People will put a price on anything."

"Missions need to actually be worth doing. I don't even go past the second one anymore because after that it's a bullet sink. They don't help you rank and they suck resources. People are likely to do something in this game if they have something to gain, and I see no real benefit in doing the missions past the second. I'd be ok with the rewards being the same, but a little better would be best; something that covers the cost of bullets, at least. However, they need help rank before I'll start to care."
~ Courier
"I think everyone has stated it. Better pay offs would make it worth doing missions again. Even if its a small one. I think a car to drive in an Organized Crime is a great Idea. Maybe if you complete the missions you get a police car. Sure it could be used for money but someone is going to use it to OC. I think that would compensate for the bullets and money I lose doing the missions. Really the only thing they are beneficial for is an OC. Missions do help you rank. While you are busting in Illinois aren't you busting other people too? or at least attempting? And now that you can bust yourself? That helps you rank. Stealing cars for the Dusey mission helps you rank. Missions do help you rank."
~ SpamGuard
"The current missions are currently used by 'bored' players. The pay outs are low, but there are rumours that each mission does give the player rank experience. In my opionion the pay-outs should remain the same. There are other ways (except mission) to make money. Why not use the mission to make some fun? I would like to see new mission were you do have to co-operate with other players. Make the mission, more like team missions. Only to increase the fun of this feature."
~ IBiosoo
"I think that the missions should be updated. They should each have a higher cash amount, equal to the price per bullet in the cheapest state. Especially considering that you earn bullets in some missions, why not earn them all the time, or at least the equivalent of them? They should also have add-ons and completely new ones added. Make their be a time limit, or something of the like. It is boring when you can come online whenever you want and finish a mission. Have a 24 hour time limit on selected missions, not just infinite time. My mission, if it were to be made, would be a combination of each and every mission, not to mention the last one you can possibly do. It would comprise of your brother being murdered. However, no one knows who it was that murdered him. To find him, you would have to steal a Duesenburg which contains valuable information as to where the Crime Boss (who told the murderer to kill your brother) is hiding. You would then have to search for him in each and every state, when you find him, you have to transport 50 crates of booze to a certain state. After this, he gives you the name of the murderer. You soon come across information that he is in jail, so you have to search for him, and then bust him out of jail. After you have busted him, you must use 10,000 bullets to kill him.
I would like to see this mission as it would determine the players who are willing to play the game, from the ones who are just here for the ride. But hey, any mission is a good mission"
