Hide And Seek With TDA iCaerus

The events leading to this article actually occurred last Saturday. We didn’t have a writer online at the time to cover this before the Buzz was published on Sunday. I apologize to the members of The Deadly Alliance for this and would like to thank Vito for taking the time to answer my questions in regards to the situation.

On May 6th, we all watched as the members of The Deadly Alliance (TDA) were killed, leaving their crew spot to fall from the stats page. At the time, we wondered exactly when they would be back to reclaim their spot on the Statistics Page. In the meantime, a new crew appeared on the stats page with a name of The New Era of INFIDELS and Emos. This crew seemed kind of quiet, but a closer look revealed that a small amount of TDA members were calling it home. This quiet crew would remain on the stats page for a week and a half, quietly playing the game.

Then last Saturday (May 17th), the name was changed to a more familiar name here on Bootleggers, The Deadly Alliance. It was at that moment that more people realized that a handful of infidels’s and emo’s were actually members of TDA. Was this planned? What was going on? A couple of people made it more clear in a game forum thread. Mikey, a member of Revelation and Boss of The New Era of INFIDELS and Emos said “They were on stats already, different name though.” Sylv, a member of TDA added “yeah we fooled you all! The infidels and emo’s were really tda’ers.”

So what really happened? Were the members of TDA playing hide and seek with us? Vito, a boss of TDA was kind enough to talk to me about the situation. He explained that Mikey and some others were holding the spot and would give it to them when they were back on track. “We wasn’t sure when we would get back,” Vito said. He also mentioned that “the name stayed as they wanted and some of us joined the crew to try keeping it on the stats.” The members of TDA worked to rank backup to Boss, and a couple of them made it pretty quickly. It was at that time that they took control of the spot and it was renamed, on May 17th.

“We have shown some people that was doubting on TDA, that we will come back no matter what happens,” Vito told me, adding that “we can’t give up after being around for more then 3 years.” We wished them the best on the new spot. However, just 4 days after this article was written, the members of TDA were without a spot after more attacks. You can read about those attacks in another article this week. In the meantime, we are left to wonder when The Deadly Alliance will return, as they always seem to do.
