The Great Divide |
Plateau |
|
I'm sure you'll all have noticed that there is an ever-increasing divide here in Bootleggers. Of course I'm talking about the divide between the rich and the poor. Many people will also notice that perhaps the rich just get richer and the poor stay poor.
This is perhaps most noticeable during Organised Crimes. Those who are rich are able to lead, or if they died to join, a higher-ranked Organised Crime with a percentage hence get money back. Poor players, like those who have just started up, find it harder to progress because they don't have the money to join such events. They will not have any friends on Bootleggers probably at this time so they will have the long, hard hog of doing countless crimes, booze runs and auto burglaries to gain little money and rank.
The other side to this are those who say that they all had to do it at one point, be it at the start of the reset, or more recently. So it may be an inevitable process to proceed up the ladder of Bootleggers. This adds to gamblers views that even when you are at Food-Stamps-Applicant wealth, it can be done to get back up to Dangerously Rich. Maybe it is the risk that those new and unfortunate players need to take to climb up out of the murky gutters.
This is not me saying go and gamble the little you have, but gambling is a sometimes worthwhile way of making quick money. Of course the losses are always going to come back, but why not try and make a quick buck or two, see how it goes. This may sound crazy, but there are some players out there to lose hundreds of millions of dollars in a couple of minutes, but then gain it all back the next day.
A final way to make some quick money is of course the Stock Market. The simple technique of buying at low prices and selling at high prices may result in a small fortune with no risk. Buy at the wrong time, and you may make a loss and end up paying for the consequences.
So, if you are a little poorer than the next guy, instead of giving up, think of ways to get yourself out of the situation, make some friends, gamble a bit or simply use the Stock market. Whichever way you go, look out for the risks involved...
