Underground Crews Galore! luco
Over the past few weeks, the Bootleggers community has seen the arrival of, no fewer than 5 Underground crews. The Government, The Unseen Family, The Enforcers, The Martyr Mafia, and The Sixth Family; all bidding to recruit the finest players BL has to offer, and ultimately make an attempt of getting a coveted space on the stats.

This week has already produced one UG crew hitting the stats, with The Winter Hill Gang buying The Rapture’s spot. However, the WHG where already an established, well structured crew, which has had previous experience of being on the stats. So in hindsight, no real shock there?

Phrases, and comments such as “We will be on the stats soon” and “be sure, we are not a n00b crew”, have been echoed all around the game forum. However, one fails to see what these crews are doing to constitute being a powerful, well organized crew. My thoughts, and many others were confirmed when an anonymous hitlister went on an 8-figure rampage, by hitlisting every recruiter in the game forum. What where these crews going to do? Would they strike back? Would they carry on recruiting? The answer. Nothing. Every crew stopped recruiting, in fear that more members would be lost.

This begs the question, whether crews these days are just not what they used to be? Whether new UG crews can cope with the first few months of recruiting? Or, whether we are just seeing a bunch n00bs get bored? No-one knows for sure, but in the midst of all this, we did see a bit of genius from one of the crews; The Enforcers. They created a scum account to do the recruiting, in fear of being shot, or hitlisted, low and behold they where, but instead of a member going, a useless scum account went. Maybe the Enforcers have what it takes? Or was this just one decent flash in the pan idea? Only time will tell.

The crew world has been somewhat quiet of late, and everyone seems to be getting along peacefully. Is this the calm before the storm? Are we about to witness a new crew on the stats soon? I for one think so, but it will be either TDA or Rev coming back from a long quiet break.
