The Kick Out Feature! JoeMasseria

Earlier this week, yet another new feature was added to Bootleggers to be put on top of the ever-increasing pile. It is a neat little feature which allows the creator of a thread to "kick out" any users who have posted that they don't want to post any more.

When someone creates a thread, they will see a little (KO) button beside every name that posts. Once clicked it means that user is unable to post in that particular topic. They are still able to view the contents of the thread, but may not post. If one clicks the button a second time, the person who had been kicked out can participate in the thread again.

Of course at first, there was a lot of confusion when it was first introduced however many seem to have grasped the idea of it. With the new feature comes opinions, some with the belief it will end proper discussions on the forums, whereas others seem to be enjoying the prospect of kicking out those troublemakers from their topics.

Before some people get any ideas, one can kick out a Moderator/Administrator, however this has no effect since their posts go through the KO. Help Desk Operators can also be kicked however their powers to mute people or lock any topic aren't affected.

In case you are unfamiliar to this new feature, don't be shy to look in the STICKY topic in the Game Forum, for further info and opinions:
