California is one of the most popular states within Bootleggers and for obvious reasons. The west coast version of New York, California, seems to be one of those states that everyone flocks to if they're not in New York.

As the starting point for the first mission, anyone wishing to complete the first mission must travel to California. This mission has become harder then ever since booze was updated. Even though it is much harder to complete now, the reward has also improved dramatically making the first mission the most profitable mission to be completed.

Because everyone must travel to California to complete the very first mission the population tends to be very high at all times. This high population leads to much lower average Organized Crimes, so for new players trying to earn money off of Organized Crimes it is not an ideal state to join an Organized Crime. If you need to get a quick Organized Crime though then California is a great state because of its high population. Someone will be looking for an Organized Crime in California regardless of what time it is. For those who are going to be driving in California car prices tend to fluctuate from average to above average. You might get lucky and happen to be in California when there are a lot of cars available and the prices have dipped from the influx of cars, but generally speaking cars will be around the average price.

Bullet prices in California are still only $2,500 per bullet, which is a bit expensive for new players, but they are still less than the $3,000 per bullet that most crews are now charging. This is surprising as California has had high bullet prices historically because it has always had such a high population. The bullets do tend to go fast because there are more buyers in the state, so if you're planning a killing spree you need to act fast when bullets are available.

All in all, California is must go to state for everyone. Completing the first mission will provide anyone with plenty of money to go very far in the game, though it will take quite a bit of time to complete.
