A day in the life of… Subvenio
This week I would like to present to you the top position in crews. A Crew Boss has command over his subordinates and usually is the one who makes all the big decisions regarding the crews actions. They are the ones who you come to when you have a problem with one of their members, and usually you get a solution which best fits you as well as the Crew Boss, and his/her crew.

As usual, I have contacted a few Crew Bosses and asked them a few simple questions. Firstly I asked if they could tell us how they reached the position of Crew Boss (ie by promotions / crew owners). Back in the old days, the most respected way of reaching the position was by ranking from crew member, through the council positions, all the way up to Crew Boss. Now, you can clearly see that times do change as all of those that I have interviewed (I did not interview all 10 crews) are in fact founders of the crew and have therefore automatically received the position. This is not necessarily a bad thing.

The second thing I was interested in finding out was the way they make their decisions. We have all seen crews that were ran by players who did no include their council in important decisions, and ran the crew on their own so to speak. These days some crews do not have a council, but according to our participants, they rather have multiple Crew Bosses. Those Crew Bosses that have chosen to create a Crew Council have stated that they do not act on their own, but consult with their council and sometimes even with their members.

Now for my third question was mainly for my curiosity as I really wanted to see what the Crew Bosses thought their style of leadership is. Of course the answers were all over the place, from Fair to Tough to a lot more… But the one that caught my attention was the Crew Boss that chose not to answer this question, but pointed me towards his members, as that kind of question can only be answered by them. And honestly, I was hoping to get that kind of answer from at least one Crew Boss, and fortunately, I did.

As usual, I finish up by asking the people answering the questions to describe their daily duties with one simple word. Even though they face threats, problematic members and much much more almost on a daily basis, all of their replied were positive. And of course one spoke the absolute truth, which I have to agree with. One Crew Boss simply replied with ‘’Bootmails "-_- ‘’.

To finish up, I would like to wish all of you Crew Bosses good luck with your crews, and may you all achieve all that you wish to with your crews. As for the Bootmails comment… At least you get your Bootmail count up! =P
