WELCOME to issue number 91 of the Bootleggers Buzz!
Only nine more weeks until the 100th issue will be published and it is so exciting for me to countdown to that special Sunday! We have a very special Buzz for you this week, jam-packed with a plethora of wonderful articles for you to read. We work hard every week and we hope you enjoy our hard work and dedication every Sunday!
A lot has happened this week from the merge of two crews, Gods Of Death and Anestheticum to a glitch involving the old retired server. From the huge fall of point prices, to the take over of The Rapture, we all enjoyed the action admist a week to remember: Staff Appreciation Week 2008!
If you missed this week, you're missing a good time. Thanks to BSF2000, staff (from Administrators to The Buzz and Bootcast Team) AND players alike are being appreciated in a fun, relaxed way. With a picture submittion displaying your appreciation of a certain staff member, players were rewarded anywhere from 5,000 to 30,000 bullets! The turnout was fantastic and with the week coming to a close, a total turnout was nearing the 700 mark! What a fantastic turnout. Certainly, there was some scandal and debates about the allowance of some pictures, but through it all it was a week of some great fun!
As always, we have our "Behind the Name" (which is a popular segment in the Buzz), "A Year Back" and The Bootleggers "SOUND OFF!." Through all the serious articles, there is always time for some that are just plain crazy! We are also continuing our "Bootleggers Buzz Awards" and we hope all of you submit your votes and ask your friends of Bootleggers and crew-mates to do the same!
We are always looking for writers. If you have what it takes to become a writer, feel free to read the article from issue 85 to see what we look for. Please send a sample article of a recent Bootleggers event to Nyxxie's current name (NYX2000) and she will personally look into it as soon as possible. Remember to mind your grammar, punctuation and spelling. If you are dead by the time we contact you, please submit the same article all over again! I currently have two articles that need to be read and approved/denied, so do not think I have forgotten about you!
Remember, anyone can write a freelance article and they are obviously free to do so. They are a chance for each of you to have a voice about the game and possibly share any thoughts that you may have with the BL community. Get moving and speak your minds! Also, be sure to check out www.blhelp.com, as advertised here.
