A Day in the Life Of... Dementis
Welcome yet again to this week’s edition of A day in the life of… This week, I would like to present to you the people who work hard every week in order to bring you the best news possible every Sunday. That is right, this week, I will be presenting A day in the life of the Bootleggers Buzz Writers.

First of all, let us define what a Buzz writer actually is. According to our team, a Buzz writer is just a normal player with a passion to write the news, with the will to bring the news to those who were not online while some things might of have happened. I also find it interesting how each week, no matter how many things happen, the Buzz is still full of random interesting things that just make you want to read on and on. However, there was one answer in particular which caught my attention. A writers said that a Bootleggers Buzz writer is a middle man between the happenings on Bootleggers, and the community. Someone, who brings the news even to those who might have been left in the dark when it happened, or were simply offline. Whatever the case, everyone can read all about it in the weekly edition of the Buzz.

I have also taken the liberty and asked the Buzz writers what their daily routine is like. The replies I must say were quite various, depending on the type of job they do within the Buzz Team itself. For example, you can see that some Writers have their own weekly sections of the Buzz that might require work on a daily basis. Which is why, SalmonV2 has to check the Statistics page as soon as he logs on and after that, several times per day. All of that, just to bring you the Obituaries. But basically, they have stated that they are no different then normal players. They only differ in the fact that they pay more attention into the happenings on Bootleggers and always want more information regarding the things that have happened, in order to bring you, the community, the best story they can.

Ever since there was the Bootleggers Buzz, and ever since the first article was published, there was always this one player who thought that the information in the article was either false or misleading. So I have asked the writers, how do those accusations make them feel and how do they respond to them. What they have pointed out is, that players must always keep in mind that the writers do not have any special access or any special tools to get the information for the story. Their most valuable tool is the ability to send a Bootmail. They try to get the information for a story from the shooters or the people behind the events, as well as the players who were affected by the events. Therefore, they only receive information from the players involved, so if you know something that might be valuable to the story and wish to share it, then please, feel free to Bootmail any Buzz Writer with it. What you must also remember is that when contacting both sides about the same chain of events, each side will give their own story, and sometimes it takes a lot more work just to get to the middle and get to the truth.

And as usual, to finish off, I have asked the Writers to describe their job to you with a single word. They claim that they are historians, which I somewhat believe to be true, as they do write down the history. The next reply was different, as they have to be different in order to pursue their article. And of course my personal favorite, professional. Which is just what all of their answers for this article were. I would like to congratulate every single Bootleggers Buzz writer, may it be present, past or future, on the great job of tacking the events on Bootleggers, Of course, when it comes to congratulations we cannot skip the Editors, who are just as responsible for the best edition possible.
