WELCOME to Bootleggers Buzz Issue 12!
What a week it has been! Bullets, no doubt carefully bought or otherwise quickly purchased with points were fired and caused not one, but two crews to lose all their members with a rank of boss or higher, causing them to drop. The Vanguard, being one of the two, was taken over at first. After making a return by shooting the crewholder so it dropped to an insider, the crew returned, only to be shot off the statistics by Gathering of Gangsters.
The other crew that lost its spot this week was Strictly Business. In one of the first shootings between two statistics crews, the current day Regulators, Smoke and Mirrors, shot Strictly Business because of a relation with The Syndicate. By shooting Strictly Business, Smoke and Mirrors also gained ownership of the Nevada Bullet Factory and thus more crew bullets, which would result in of course extra shooting abilities.
However, shootings were not the only things that happened this week. The former Head DJ of the Bootleggers BootCast, Magz, set up his own radio station, called Mood. He is one of the very few DJs at this moment, but the introduction of his station is a solution for those who appealed for the BootCast to be re-introduced, but found this would not happen anytime soon.
Apart from the events of this week, this issue also contains several columns and an article on OCs nowadays; are people really getting more greedy, or is it just a result of the new round? The article reviews it, so go and check it out! The first column concerns the removal of the KO, or kick out, feature. Was removing it really needed if one bears the motives of this new round (killing) in mind? Secondly, we have a column containing a view on what went wrong after the reset. Did something went wrong? Read, form your own opinion and find out.
As always 'Behind the Name' takes a look at the names of three players, and the other weekly segments 'Bootleggers Game Statistics' and 'The Weekly Flash' are part of this issue as well to serve as a weekly reference.

Strictly Business Wiped! |
Joke |
|
For the very first time this round, we were able to witness an extraordinary and very well organized attack. Smoke and Mirrors unleashed their bullets on Strictly Business because of threats they were receiving from The Syndicate.

Radio to Suit Your Mood |

Previous round, Bootleggers used to have a feature called the Bootleggers BootCast, which was an online radio station and, like the Buzz, it was brought to us by- and for the players. Later during the round, however, the administrators decided to remove the feature due to lack of interest from both listeners and DJs.

The Vanguard Taken Over |

After being the first crew to hit the stats at the beginning of Round six, The Vanguard lost their position to Grand Hustle and Omerta. Vaseline was the brain behind the operation, as he was in the middle when the event unfolded.

Organized Crimes Today... |
Joke |
|
More and more it's beginning to seem that the nature of Organized Crimes has changed. It is now as opposed to last round much more of a cheap, and greedy activity. Leaders are giving themselves much higher percents than anyone else on the team. Too often you can see in the Classifieds, gf or below gets less %.

COLUMN KO Feature: Lost by Knock Out |
Mika |
|
The new reset promised less intervention from the staff and would demand more action from the players themselves. No more mutes or bans, players were to kill those who annoyed them. Another, seemingly related, change was the removal of the Kick Out feature.
