Welcome to Issue 19 of the Bootleggers Buzz!
First of all I would like to apologize for the somewhat limited content of this issue, we have experienced some problems as to acquiring the information we needed to write our articles which resulted in the small number of articles. In this issue, one of our newer writers, Neverender, got into something that seems to surround certain Bootleggers players: drama. Using a thread on the Game Forum he gathered information and opinions which he then used for his article, feel free to discuss and comment!
I doubt that someone missed it, but I will mention it anyway; the Escrow feature faced some problems due to Daylight Saving Time. Players were unable to complete their Escrow and were thus unable to transfer items for most of the day. At the time of me writing this, BSF2000 has looked into and resolved the issue, meaning that Escrow is now once again up and working. Everyone who wishes to sell points or wants to get rid of a casino can now sell them.
'Crew of the Week' and 'Bootleggers Game Statistics' are our weekly segments for this week. Next week you can count on a 'Buzz Sound Off' as well as the return of our other weekly segments such as 'Behind the Name'. The Buzz Comic is absent as well, but luckily DT0X submitted one on behalf of the players.
As always, anyone who is considering to join the Buzz Team is asked to submit an application article on the bottom of this page, make sure your article is about a Bootleggers related subject and bear in mind grammar, punctuation and overall style. If you do not feel like applying but would like to share your views with the Bootleggers public then feel free to submit a freelance article. They can be about anything you like as long as it is game related and are a great way of starting a discussion or to simply share your thoughts. We look forward to reading from you!
Before I conclude these notes, please feel free to rate articles and to provide feedback to our writers so they can continue to improve and maybe adjust their articles to the likes of the reader. Next issue will contain more articles, for now, do enjoy the articles that are in and see you all next week.
Until then, take care, and stay safe.

O Drama, Drama, Wherefore Art Thou Drama? |
Neverender |
|
Drama has been active since the beginning of time. There have always been conflicting stories, feuding beliefs and hatred sparked by those beliefs. No matter if we like it, want it, strive for it or try to avoid it; its there.

Tricks of the Trade |

|
The feature was introduced a few rounds ago in order to allow players to safely trade goods and to combat scammers. Prior to its introduction players would have to trust one another when they wanted to buy or sell points, a witness statement or a casino. Points first, money first, using a middle man, there were several options to prevent getting scammed, nevertheless it was still difficult to ensure you would not be scammed. Escrow, however, changed the concept of trust and simplified the concept of trading significantly.
Escrow is not the same as it used to be as both its technical and visual aspects have been updated over time. It is now more flexible and less vulnerable to bugs than it used to be. For instance, players could get stuck in Escrow in its previous form, however the chances of it happening with the newest version are a lot smaller. At least, they used to be. After what was probably an attempt to alter the script players began to experience problems with the Escrow feature. Problems that mainly manifested itself in the form of players who got stuck in Escrow after being shown the Please Retry message. The problems regarding the feature even triggered a Sticky topic in the Game Forum, created by VooDooDoll.
Despite the assurance of the Senior Moderator that the problem had been reported to the Administrators, players were still upset about the bug concerning the Escrow feature which was the topic of debate in the Game Forum...
