Oh no! I've been scammed! |

Recently, Ive seen more and more topics pouncing around the game forum based around the subject of scamming. To be honest, it amazes me how players still get scammed here but then again, not everyone is as experienced as others on the game.
I think the most common scam people fall for is the one where you buy equipment for an Organised Crime and end up getting 0%! Now this is the simplest one to prevent. All you have to do is click accept, wait for the percentages to be finalised and then buy the equipment! Players who tell you to buy before the percentages are finalised are 99% likely to scam you. The excuse theyll most likely use is that I need to see you buy the best equipment. This is useless as they can still finalise and if you dont buy the best, you can just get kicked.
Another one I have seen a few times is Point pre-sellers. These guys tell you that they have points and will sell them once they are released. So people send them money, thinking that they are pre-ordering points. Once again, this is most likely a scam. BSF2000 introduced the escrow feature to prevent scamming. Use it for any trades!
Finally, one of the funniest ones I saw was a player offering 10% interest a day on money that you send to him. Sounds like a great deal doesnt it? Well dont be fooled, its highly likely that it is a scam to get your money. Dont fall for it!
So, when doing OCs trading or sending money, take a second to think Is there any way I can get scammed here? If yes, dont do it! Use escrow to be 100% safe!
Thanks for reading,
AceAdam.
