Kill or be Killed: But not this Week. |

|
This week, Bootleggers has only witnessed 66 kills since our last issue. Last week, we witnessed 258 kills, however. With most of these kills being Boss and below, the Buzz has been contacting the Bootleggers community to see why they think this has happened this week, as after all this is a kill or be killed game.
First however here are some statistics for you.
Crew wipes this week: 0
Kills this week in total: 66
Kills in the past 24 hours: 13 (was down to only 2 at one point)
Total bullets: 48,623,076 (~2,240 per player)
Total money: $28,612,569,635 (~$1,720,126 per player)
You, the Bootleggers community, expressed many different reasons for the lack of kills. Some speculated that this would just be a one off, whilst others mentioned many cheaters could no longer use proxies and therefore their resources have been eliminated. The fair majority however, blamed the new kill system and the lack of incentives/advantages to being in a crew other than an extra forum, resulting in there not being demand for the current spots.
So how can we liven up the game?
To start with, the Buzz asked Senior Moderator VooDooDoll, what her assumptions for the lack of kills were. She responded to us with, I think some weeks are busier than others. Reducing the amount of crews to 10 may work temporarily. The general consensus of the game seems to prefer the old kill system as opposed to the current one. I would say changing the kill system perhaps would liven things up. Her views seemed to be further backed up by GustoV14, who mentioned that if the number of detectives was lowered from 5 to 2 or 3 then that would help a bit to stop fast power searching and help shooters last a bit longer. Views on the current kill system and ways to overcome this seemed to be flooding in with mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm also stating, In the past it was awesome to see what one shooter could do N dons and S don were exceptionally dangerous accounts with their quick searches now a boss is pretty much as dangerous as a S don they have been weakened so much with their quick searches gone. So it seems the majority of issues are arising from the new kill system, however MsB had an alternative view, she mentioned that Income was lowered beginning of the round, however the price of guns (and protection) was not. I think if you made guns a more fair price you'd see more shooting.
So it seems an update is in order or perhaps you could call it a de-update, is the kill update really responsible for the lack of kills, or is it just the lack of cash and strict rules with the use of proxy. While it would be some time for a feature update to occur we can however sit and wait for next week and hope there is more action. Maybe this was just a one off, we will just have to wait and see.
