Bootleggers Buzz: Staff Member of the Week! Seanlold
Hello and welcome to the first edition of Staff Member of the Week! I have collected a list of every staff member Bootleggers has ever seen from the truly respectable to the plain corrupt. This week, the staff member I decided to cover was Zeb! Luckily, Zeb is still around in Bootleggers, so I was able to grab an interview with him.

Were you around when Zeb was a Moderator? It was a long time ago, as Zeb claims he was a Moderator "for around 2 to 3.5 to 4 years ago". He said he could remember when Bootleggers changed from having the player status at the bottom of the page to how it is now with it all on the right. I don't even remember that! He said he "loved" his time as a Moderator. Luckily, he fell in with the right type of people, became boss of a crew and made pictures for other players. As a result of this, he found himself playing the game less and less and, instead, helping out players. Nohau made him a Help Desk Operator and then, later, a Moderator. Unfortunately, real life meant that Zeb could no longer carry on his Moderator responsibilities. He joined the game with his fiance and, as she was never into Bootleggers as much as he was, as he spent more and more time on here, she came to dislike it more and more and, as a result of this, Zeb had to leave! He made clear in the interview that this was "timed with another big event" and "many thought he left for the wrong reasons". Zeb says he did not quit because Sabin got promoted to Administrator, it was just an unfortunate timing. While Zeb claims he has the time to come back to the Help Desk, he does not know how the game works anymore so he feels that he would not be able to effectively fill that role. His best memory as a Moderator was stopping cheating players as he said it "annoys me to see people cheat when there are many who don't".

So, that concluded my interview with Zeb. The opinions of players was mostly positive. In fact, there wasn't one negative thing said about Zeb in the entire thread. m0b said he was "cool" and Rod backed this up by saying he "helped me out a lot when my safehouse did weird things time after time about 4 years ago." His closest comparison to a current member of staff, according to Szia, is "Altro as a HDO and Riserva as a MOD; both respectable and conservative people." SatecZ, who had never known Zeb when he was a Moderator, said he was a friendly person who always took the time to help others. To end the thread, BSF2000 said "Zeb was a positive contributor to the Elite Guard and the game during his time as Moderator and continues to contribute to the game even now as a normal player. It's always nice seeing such people continue being part of the game in one way or another after several years." Must be nice for Zeb to see that he is still talked about in such high regard, even by the game owner!

Personally, I didn't know Zeb when he was a Moderator, but from what I have seen of him on the forums and during our interview, he does seem like a very friendly guy and, I think, would be suited to the Help Desk if he brushed up his knowledge on how the game works! Nice going, Zeb!
