Chronic Illness members were in the middle of the cross hairs this week. The shooter, Routine, shot a total of fourteen people in his blood-splattered tirade which involved the use of nearly 95,000 bullets. Out of the all the kills, only two messages were left for the dead to read upon their next impending click, one which read "Learn your members not to sell a WS in the forums."
The cause of the shootings, however, had nothing to do with the tradeoff of a Witness Statement. According to the shoot himself, "I picked that crew because they had 3 slots. Then I wanted to shoot some more and picked their council (at least I think they are) and it was a coincidence there was an old enemy in the crew so I shot him as well." Something about watching casinos drop tickled this shooters fancy.
Based on the shooter's profile, two of the killed owned a slots, five were part of the crew Chronic Illness, one was the crew boss of Spellbound and six rounded out the number due to personal reasons (ignoring bootmails, selling a witness statement and other reasons the shooter couldn't remember).
Although the crew did not drop, it seems two council members were in the mix of the deadly shooting and it certainly left the crew crippled, at least for a few days. The shooting did not last long before crew-less Legendary Godfather, Supersonic, shot and killed the Don account in an attempt to hinder any further attacks.
