Player of the Week! |

Written in co-operation with Sean.
In an event filled week, the Buzz were surprised at how hard it was to find a suitable 'Player of the Week.' Then along came JDM, the first ever Legendary Godfather of round six. The Buzz got in touch with him, and then asked him a few questions on being player of the week, a few questions on Bootleggers, and a few questions in the random category.
To begin, the Buzz asked JDM how it felt to be the third player of the week. He said, "It's cool, actually. I didn't really expect it, to be very honest!" Next, we asked him how he was able to rank from Godfather to Legendary Godfather so fast. He explained, "I have made a decent amount of profit from gambling/ holding tables. With points so cheap and easy to buy at the moment, I decided to use the points to reset my timer every couple of hours. The cost isn't really that bad, and I'm still up a couple hundred points since starting doing it, so I've decided to keep resetting the timer." To follow that question, we asked JDM why he didn't find using points to reset his timer a waste, like many others do. He told us, "Points are there to be spent, after all. I have more than enough to satisfy my gambling urges for a while, so I have no better uses for the rest of them."
"I was surprised when I got there that I was the first one, and that there was no-one else," said JDM on being the first Legendary Godfather in round six. He added, "I mean, I reset my timer a bunch of times, but I figured there had to be others who were doing it as well, and probably had a better crime count than I have! There's also a second Legendary Godfather now, he or she didn't come too far behind me. I guess I was just lucky."
The Buzz then decided to move on to a few questions about Bootleggers. We asked JDM, as the creator of a popular topic, how he felt about the removal of the Kick-Out button. He said, "I miss it. I know it would get used on me at least as much as anyone else, but there are times when I really wish I could kick some people out." We then asked him that with Sabin gone a month now, should another Moderator get the red coat. He answered, "Possibly. As far as I know, none of them could be useful from a programming side, but it seems there's a few casinos where ban appeals are taking a pretty long time, and maybe another person would help alleviate that to some extent. Obviously it depends if BSF feels someone is worthy of it, but it does look like they could use a little more help with appeals."
Next, to the random questions! The Buzz had been thinking of some wonderfully random questions all week, and they paid off here. First, we asked JDM if he liked to taste test windows (licking a window of a place you've never been before!), and he said, "No...what the heck is that..? Never even thought about it.." To continue, we asked him if the producers of his favourite TV show called him up, and offered him a part, what would he character do. He told us, "How did you know I was a new character on 24!? I want to be the guy who kills Jack in the end." And, lastly, we asked JDM what his favourite type of glass was to eat. He said, "There's types of glass? Who knew..well, I'd probably go for fibre glass."
The Buzz would like to thank JDM for letting us interview him, and wish him all the luck on reaching the rank of Don! Check back next week to see our fourth player of the week, and maybe even a crew, too..
