IRC Returns! TheLachy
As we all saw on September 29 the IRC was shut down due to unexpected server issues. As BSF2000 was finding a new server to go with, everyone was awaiting the return of the quite not-so popular IRC.

xLew is in charge of the IRC, so when IRC was accessible Lew still had to change a few things and customize it to his standard, such as implementing a proxy blocker, which in fact does block proxies from joining the chat.

For those who follow the Bootleggers Blog, 5litre posted an entry detailing what actually went down. As you will read there, Lew and the team are looking to implement some popular games, which would be good for the active IRC users. Donations are also looking to be on the schedule for those who rank the highest in these games, good on ya Lew! The blog that was posted, written by 5litre, said "Still a few tweaks that we want to work on, but nothing major. We’re looking to bring back some popular games and add some new ones to try them out as well."

Those who use IRC will be privileged to have it returned to them. We got around to interviewing xLew and he said "We were encountering some issues on our previous server (different to the server BL is hosted on) this issue was only fixable by the servers host of whom was pretty useless, we decided to move else where. we being BSF2000, 5litre and myself."

So with new things looking to be implanted for IRC it seems it may get some more users, making IRC the new hip-groove way to chat! Thanks for reading!
