interview with customstyle regarding the current position of bootleggers / HDO Eligius
in this article i am interviewing '' CustomStyle '' one of our Help Desk Operators. i've asked CustomStyle some questions regarding the current state of bootleggers and how he feels about that next to some questions on how he feels like a help desk operator.
my first question towards customstyle was why he accepted to become a help desk operator, customstyle said '' it was something that i had not tried and wanted to experience a new part of the game. the opportunity was given to me and i thought it would bring me some life to my playing game. ''
now i think we all agree on that part because everyone is looking for something they like here on bootleggers to continue playing as they are / were.

in my second question to customstyle i asked him what strives him to keep doing the job as a help desk operator. he replied with '' i find something fun in doing what i do and that is what basically everyone is looking to do here. everyone in their own way looks to have some fun '' so customstyle agrees with what i said before with '' everyone in their own way looks to have some fun ''
regardless of whatever that might be exploiting or banking and stocking bullets to attempt to try and take out a crew and start their own.

the bootleggers community is what is what most of us believe the core and most important thing of bootleggers in my next question i asked how customstyle felt about the community and how it has improved or on the contrary, has'nt improved. customstyle said '' the community is what basically makes this game. for good or for worse, we have now more '' trolls '', but thats just more and more people who stick through it hoping to see some change. i don't think i can say it is improving, because there is a sense of need for improvement of he game and that is what makes them quit or change their playing style '' for that matter i agree with that alot of players are just adapting their playing style in order to continue playing the game. most of us, as we can see in the game forum, agrees on that part that bootleggers has'nt been the same. it seems that bootleggers has less activity and therefor i asked customstyle if that had any influence regarding his position as an help desk operator. customstyle said the following '' in a way you could say so. as far as comparing to previous times, i was not HDO back then so i can't say, but there has not been a sudden drastic change as i still get to answer a lot of questions by bootmails, forums and the help desk. '' so with that being said customstyle feels that he still has alot of questions to answer what i think means there are still players joining bootleggers, otherwise there would eventually be no more questions to ask.

recently we witnessed 5litre and Nyxxie stepping down from their positions as administrator(5litre) and moderator(Nyxxie) the buzz asked how customstyle thinks about this and how he sees bootleggers in the future. customstyle said '' it's a loss to the game to see two active staff members leave. it was their decision to leave and something that i can respect. i wish them the best in their action always. '' needless to say we all agree with customstyle that it's a loss to bootleggers and a great blow to the elite guard. i took the liberty of asking customstyle if he'd think BSF2000 would throw in the towell after he lost nyxxie and 5litre cystomstyle said that he was pretty sure BSF2000 would'nt do that. but we'll all have to wait and see, but he probably will make someone else moderator at a certain point and look for a skilled administrator aswell. in the meantime he'll have to do a lot of the work himself, something he has, regarding many players, failed to do over the last period. regarding that matter, i asked customstyle if he was thinking / hoping to become a moderator someday which he replied to with '' that is something that is not up to me. do i hope as in wish to be? never thought of that. i think there are other HDO's who equally deserve the spot and i am more then sure that they will do an excellent job if given the chance. '' so customstyle basically said he'd not decline but he does'nt say he'll accept it either so we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves. with that questions being asked and answered i asked customstyle what he would do and change / not change if he was in BSF2000 his position. he said that there is a need of the community to see him talk on the forums and express himself. running a game like this must not be easy, so i can't comment on the ins and outs of it, but i can just say something simple as that. so basically he would like to see BSF2000 be more active on the forums like most of us do, which is something he did in the past. in the past he also did giveaways and held contests with the grand prize of winning a playstation 3 or an XBOX 360, but if i'm not mistaken we haven't seen such things in the game forum for quite a long time and the current give aways are on hiatus. whenever they will be going live again is not sure and none can really answer that question.

we'll just have to have be a bit more patience for that matter and what to see what BSF2000 is going to do to keep the game active and players playing the game as it is supposed to be. will he throw in the towell eventually or will he finally step up again and pick and fill his role as head administrator again like before? who knows?
